California Education Reflects Democratic Party Platform

What has happened to California schools? And why all this laundry list of insanity: campus craziness, speech codes, safe spaces, bizarre politically correct training on microaggressions, trigger warnings, the problem of whiteness, intolerance of any ideas except their own, riots against conservative speakers, support for radical Islam, illegal aliens, sanctuary cities, pushing the LGBT agenda, anti-Israel bias, maligning all opponents as racists and fascists, and a profound disdain for America's founders, military, and exceptionalism?
According to John M. Ellis, professor emeritus and chairman of the California Association of Scholars, the root cause is a total dominance of university faculty and administrators by the hard left.
"In most humanities and social-science departments—especially those central to a liberal education, such as history, English and political science—the share of left-of-center faculty already approaches 100%,” Ellis said in “ Higher Education’s Deeper Sickness.”
A 2012 study by the National Association of Scholars found that on California campuses, history and humanities courses have a leftist takeover by a ratio of 25:1. The one is said not to be a conservative, but may count as a moderate.
According to an Econ Journal Watch article from 2016, voter registration for faculty members in the economics, history, journalism, law, and psychology departments overwhelmingly vote for Democrats over Republicans at a ratio of 11.5:1. Within this author’s history major the greatest discrepancy is found in a ratio of 33.5:1.
The problem in California schools is not found only in the hardcore Democrat faculty, Democrat Governor Jerry Brown and Democrat Janet Napolitano, president of the University of California System. The problem lies also in the explosion of the “diversocrats,” who are dedicated to the advancement of fabricated diversity problems where whites and Asians are labeled as sexist, homophobic, racist and fascist, and standards are lowered to accommodate the so-called discriminated minorities.
The destruction of the once great California University System is perfectly illustrated when PragerU’s Will Witt recently asked a white female student why she hates white people. In her words, “Because I go to Berkeley.” Witt concluded by saying, “I guess that really sums up this campus.”
Sadly, that pretty much sums up academia not only in California but across America.
