3rd Graders Forced to “Deconstruct” Racial & Gender Identity

Third grade children in Silicon Valley were ordered by their government-school teacher to “deconstruct” their racial, gender, religious, family structure, and sexual identities, then rank themselves based on the supposed “power and privilege” this gave them. The Marxist indoctrination session took place in a math class.

According to documents provided to Discovery Institute education expert Christopher Rufo by a whistle-blower, the lesson on “social identities” required each child create an “identity map.” The “map” forced the tiny children, aged between 7 and 8, to consider how oppressed or privileged they supposedly were based on characteristics such as ethnicity, sexual “orientation,” and membership in particular “victim” groups.

Rufo, a contributing editor to City Journal, did the hard-hitting investigative reporting that ultimately led to President Trump's order banning “Critical Race Theory” indoctrination of federal employees. The most recent scandal the journalist blew open surrounds the R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School in San Jose, California's Cupertino Union School District.

According to Rufo's investigation, the teacher taught the children that they live in a “dominant culture” of “white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English speaker[s].” The lesson plan goes on to claim that these white Christians allegedly “created and maintained” this culture in order “to hold power and stay in power.”

Ironically, data from Great Schools reveals that more than 8 in 10 students at the school are Asian, while just 6 percent are white. It was not immediately clear how much “privilege” being of Asian heritage supposedly bestows on a child using the absurd lens of Critical Race Theory at the core of the exercise. The school “serves” an area where the media home price is almost $2.5 million and the median household income is close to $200,000 per year.

In addition to the “identity map,” the teacher read from the fringe diatribe called “This Book is Antiracist” and told the children that those who have “privilege” supposedly “have power over others.” Meanwhile, “folx [sic] who do not benefit from their social identities, who are in the subordinate culture, have little to no privilege and power.”

The reading even included a helpful example to illustrate the point: “a white, cisgender man, who is able-bodied, heterosexual, considered handsome and speaks English has more privilege than a Black transgender woman.” In the language used by these activists, “cisgender” is a man or woman who understands that he or she is a man or woman, respectively, as opposed to a confused person sometimes referred to as “transgender” who rejects their biological identity.

Some people can be both privileged and oppressed, the children were taught by what the principle described as a “certified teacher.” Citing the principle of “intersectionality,” which divides people into oppressors and oppressed based on mostly immutable characteristics, “there are parts of us that hold some power and other parts that are oppressed.”

Of course, to a sensible adult who received a halfway decent education, this idiocy would be laughed out of the room. However, in young victims such as 3rd grade children who do not know any better, the indoctrination can have serious and damaging effects, turning otherwise normal children into insane social-justice warriors who hate their families, nations, and churches. That's the point.

Parents were outraged. “We were shocked,” a parent at the school told Rufo on condition of anonymity. “They were basically teaching racism to my eight-year-old.” Another family noted that this sort of propaganda is what mass-murdering maniac Chairman Mao used to foment hatred, revolution, and slaughter of innocent people in China.

After furious parents rallyied a group of families, the school finally agreed to suspend the indoctrination sessions — for now. Next, a group of families is considering a campaign to oust members of the school board perceived as being supportive of this hateful, divisive propaganda. Reviews from parents online reveal a great deal of dissatisfaction with the government school.
Critical Race Theory, a subset of Critical Theory, is dangerous propaganda imported to America by totalitarians from the Marxist Frankfurt School to divide nations and peoples and even families against themselves. The goal is the old cliché: “Divide and conquer.” Unfortunately, this school in California is hardly unique. In fact, all across America, similar evils are spreading out like a cancer. It must stop.
