Children, Like Greta, Used As Political Pawns For Climate Activism

Do not criticize the children, for any reason, ever. That is the message of the week regarding the hub bub around the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and more specifically the 16-year-old climate activist drawing headlines.

Greta Thunberg of Sweden has been a climate activist in her country for several years, and most notably came to prominence last year when she implemented a walkout from school on Fridays to protest climate change, which has now become an entire year of “sabbatical” from school. In August she sailed to the United States with other activists to parade around the country spreading her message of the necessity to combat climate change.

The only problem is that she is 16 years old and has no expertise about the topic. But she has plenty of passion, and the climate fanatics and those on the left, parade her and other children out front as their spokespeople. Apparently, they cannot find adults to do their bidding.

This was made evident to the American public on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Climate Action Summit 2019: A Race We Can Win. A Race We Must Win. With a name like that, one knew it must have been a brainchild operation from within the United Nations.

At the center of the summit was Thunberg, who made international attention with her dramatic statement in front of the cameras.

“My message is that we’ll be watching you,” Thunberg said and then stared out at the adult-filled audience. “This is all wrong, I shouldn't be up here, I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet, you all come to us young people for hope, how dare you. You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words and yet I'm one of the lucky ones. People are suffering, people are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you.”

Watching and listening to Thunberg is a much different experience than simply reading the transcript, though both dramatize and include hyperbolic sentiment.

As mentioned earlier, there are many children being used as pawns by the left to make all the moves and sacrifice themselves in the name of climate science. Just look at how the children acted on Friday, Sept. 20, as part of the national school walkout to protest a topic about which almost none of them knew any real science. The children are saying “I’m 11” or “I’m 16,” as if their age is providing them the credentials to speak on the issue.

They claim they are victims, and they are correct in the end result, but not by the means. The children are victim to adults indoctrinating them and telling them to be as impassioned as possible. They get this message from their educators, the media, the politicians, and their so-called parents. And they really get it from the lady who resembles them most: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who spouted so famously that the world was going to end in 12 years.

The only “real” efforts being done by the adults is to make a website where fellow Earth worshippers are confessing their sins anonymously. NBC created a “Climate Confessions” webpage intended for the religious cult of progressives to confess their sins against Mother Gaia in 130 characters or less.

Some of the confession “winners” include “Never been able to eat an entire bunch of bananas before one or two go bad,” and “I go to Starbucks several times a week and I don’t bring a reusable cup.” Everyone is strongly encouraged to view the many more responses.

And so the focus of the week was whether or not an adult critiqued Thunberg’s assertions, rather than address the issue of children being used as pawns. If anyone dare critique her viewpoints on the issue of climate change, and the fact that she is 16-years-old and being treated as if she is an expert in climate science, that person was deemed a bigot. But parading a teenager out as a human shield for political gain is encouraged. Ask every politician running for president in 2020, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama.

The week ended as it began, with no real solutions for any problems, a lot of political warfare, and children being victimized through indoctrination. So it was a typical week in America 2019.
